Where do our book cover images come from?

Many covers are provided by the Open Library Covers API. We appreciate their generosity in making this data available to the public.

How do we use Open Library responsibly?

We cache covers locally in our own image store so repeat visits do not re-request the same images, and we keep request rates low to avoid unnecessary load on their service.

What happens if a cover is not available?

If a cover is missing from our cache and not available from Open Library, we show a placeholder image for that title.
